Ask and you shall receive. Imagine being at one location with more resources for an aspiring architect than one can probably handle. Well AIA Colorado is going to make it happen!
I am excited to announce the AIA Colorado Emerging Professionals Forum on Thursday, Nov. 11, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Hosted by Barker Rinker Seacat Architecture at their offices in Denver (3457 Ringsby Ct. Unit 200, Denver, CO 80216).
An evening with information about AIA Denver Diversity Committee, NCARB, IDP, licensure, ARE study materials and study groups, and mentoring programs. Even one-on-one resume and portfolio reviews with professional human resource managers and design principals (only open to AIA Colorado members; sorry non-members!). The night will also feature “Demystifying the Process,” a panel discussion lead by hiring managers, principals and human resource professionals, who are involved in the process of receiving resumes and portfolios and deciding who is invited to come in for a job interview. (I’m very curious about this one.)
And that’s not all….
This event is FREE for AIA Colorado members. Bring a non-member friend and they get in for free too! Food and drinks will be provided by the AIA Colorado Emerging Professionals Committee.
Hmm…no cover, free food and drink, learn a few things, meet some new people…sounds too good to be true. Where’s the catch?
No catch but you must RSVP for this event by Monday, Nov. 8, at 4 p.m. by contacting the AIA Colorado Administrative Assistant/Membership Coordinator, Emily Ewing, at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 303.446.2266, ext. 110.
SEE YOU THERE!
